The wellbeing of your child is our priority. Every child care professional has a personal interview with one of our qualified child care consultants. They are tested and screened for their skills and ability - safety in the home, first aid, child development. All their references are checked before Choice Child Care will consider placing them.
We place two levels of child care professionals:
- the Professional Nanny (also sometimes referred to as an Au Pair); and
- a Professional Childminder.
The services we offer when placing a nanny or a childminder include:
- an initial consultation to evaluate your family's needs and to offer you advice;
- matching your specific requirements to our candidates and drawing up a short list of candidates for you to interview;
- ongoing consultation for a further 60 day period after placing the nanny or childminder to negotiate any issues you may have.
You can obtain more information on rates for nannies / au pairs and childminders. Or Contact Us, and we will discuss your requirements directly with you. |

If you have worked in the child care field as a professional then Choice Child Care is the placement agency for you. We place candidates in families as well as nursery schools. Our focus is centred around the child and all our recommendations are made with the child's best interest in mind. Because of this we will only consider candidates who have professional experience. After having submitted your CV with clearly listed references, you will be expected to go through:
- a personal interview with one of our child care consultants (note that we do not make selections based on telephonic interviews); and
- a number of tests to determine your skills in the areas of first aid, safety in the home and general child development theory.
Your skills and abilities must meet the requirements of our families. If accepted we provide you with ongoing support through our Nanny Network, as well as individual counselling as required. You will be advised on employment contract requirements and basic labour relation issues. Ongoing support is provided through our monthly meeting at Nanny Network , an interest group for child care professionals. Have a look at our Vacancies or Contact Us to find out more about being placed through Choice Child Care. |

Many companies understand the importance of helping their employees achieve a balance between work and personal life. A work-life balance assessment often highlights child care as an issue amongst employees. This can impact on productivity, absenteeism, quality of work and staff turnover. It is difficult for employees to be focussed on their work when worrying about child care issues, separation from an infant, school lifts, a sick child etc.
At Choice Child Care we have helped companies develop Work-Life balance solutions which include:
- Child care needs assessment;
- Community surveys to assess availablity and quality of child care services in your area;
- Feasibility studies to determine onsite or offsite child care solutions;
- Holiday programs;
- Afternoon homework supervision.
- Parenting Manuel - everything you need to know about becoming a working parent, personalised to the Company Policy and Procedures - a mind field of information; parenting of infant to teens.
- Online Q & A; offering a direct Q & A about all parenting and childcare related issues.
We have worked with International companies i.e. Anglo Vaal, IBM, Ernst & Young and Absa Capital and other local businesses to arrange Holiday Programmes for their staff’s children and our present clients include an International Auditing firm where we provide a daily Homework supervision room for school aged children and a December holiday programme for pre and primary school aged children. We are presently embarking on a Child Care Needs survey with a car manufacturing company.
